Welcome to summer fun time at Village Kid Care.

We have lots of activities planned for your child!

Each week your child will be engaged in different activities that correspond with the theme of the week, and in line with their age and individual skill level.  During Learning Time your toddler, for instance,  may be learning letter sounds, counting, identifying shapes, having fun with colors and crafts, or be involved in creative play, including music, dance, and sensory experiences.

A pre-schooler  or primary grade child may be exploring language arts,  arts and crafts, math, science, social studies, cooking, outdoor physical games and activities.

All children at Village Kid Care learn good health habits.  Hand washing,  bathroom training, eating healthy food and participating in physical activities are all a part of each day.  Children also work on social skills such as taking turns, sharing, being polite and respecting each other.  From age two the children work on self-help skills:  putting on coats and jackets, washing and drying hands, pulling their pants up and down, zipping and buttoning, tying shoes, etc.

We will be open from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM every week day.  Take a look at our summer schedule below.  We will also be taking applications for fall.  Please click on our application page or call Village Kid Care at 845 210-4461.

A Note from Gammy Singer ~

Hello there!  I’m tremendously excited about opening my home to the children in my community.

My fondest wish is to have the children I care for come to think of my day care as their home away from home, and for parents to embrace Village Kid Care as a safe reliable place where their children will be nurtured and loved, respected and cared for, knowing always that the emphasis here will be on their child’s social, creative and educational unfolding--being the best that they can be.

I have worked with young people for thirty years and have taught a variety of subjects in the public schools in Los Angeles, California, and elsewhere, including elementary, middle and high school age students and have had a grand time doing it.  I am also the founding Youth Director at my church in NYC and in that capacity I’ve supervised a staff of fourteen teachers, and planned activities and lessons for children

pre-school through eighteen years of age. (And bye the bye, I’ve also been a professional actress and director for many years—children’s and adult theater--and am currently a published author of mystery novels.) My creative background serves to give me a unique window on the world of children! Please feel free to browse these pages, submit an enrollment application or email me with any questions.

Lizzette Velez will give help and assistance with the youngest children in Village Kid Care.

She comes to us with lots of experience--she helped raise her ten siblings! Graduating from Ellenville High School, she is certified to work with children, having completed two years of Early Childhood Education at Ulster CountyBOCES Career and Tech Center. Lizzette is continuing her education and is currently working on attaining her associates degree at the University of Phoenix, online studies.
