Village Kid Care is more than just a day care. Based on the presumption that every child is smart in his or her own way,

we focus on meeting each individual child’s developmental and educational needs. We offer an exceptional before and

after-school registered program for children ages 2-10 years in a comfortable family environment that combines guidance, nurturing and security with independent exploration. Village Kid Care will give your child both the freedom and the structure

he or she needs, and your child will be exposed to a wide variety of activities, including: 

Our program aligns with the district’s school calendar to provide fun-filled and educational offerings during holidays, teacher

in-service days and other school breaks. Transportation can be provided for children attending morning or afternoon kindergarten. Health and hygiene procedures are strictly followed per regulations. To support the needs of working families, Village Kid Care is open all year from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of major holidays (listed below) and a week's break at the end of August. The Summer Program integrates outings and field trips into its schedule. Special fees apply per trip.

A Typical School-Age Child’s Day

7:00 am             Arrival & Greetings. Child hangs up coat, puts away books, etc.and settles.

                         Reads, engages in quiet games or puzzles, or reviews homework.    

7:30-8:15 am      Hot breakfast, with every child responsible for helping with clean-up. Bathroom and hygiene time.

8:15-8:40 am      Group Council w/everyone, word-of-the-day, quote-of-the-day, discussion.

8:40-8:45 am      Load up and off to school for a busy day!

3:15-3:30 pm      Arrival & Greetings with an afternoon snack.

3:30-4:10 pm      Outdoor games and free play.

4:10-5:10 pm      Homework time. Personal attention is given each child in terms of organizing homework, tutoring,

                         study techniques, or providing enrichment alternatives.

5:10-6:00 pm      Hobbies, craft projects.

End of Day         Parent picks up child and provider gives parent a daily report.

Village Kid Care Rates

Part Time Care:  (snacks and lunch)

Day care for less than 6 hours per day = $5.00 per hour

Day care for more than 6 hours per day, (but for no longer than 10 hours daily) = $35 a day

Full Time Care:  (breakfast, lunch, AM and PM snacks)

Day care available from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (or as arranged), but for no longer than 10 hours daily = $150.00 per week

**Department of Social Services payments accepted

Evening and overnight child care available. Same fees apply.

Infants and toddlers under two accepted for evenings and overnights. 

Includes breakfast, lunch, AM and PM snacks. Also includes Parents Night Out for families on the weekly plan, free child care the last Friday of each month until 11:00 pm. We do on-site movie nights with the kids, including dinner, snacks and games.
